DECEMBER MONTHLY CLUB MEETING MINUTES
December 20, 2016
Adams Boulevard Church of Christ
98 members and guests meet at Adams Boulevard Church of Christ for our annual Christmas Party. That is a record for number of members at an event. Thanks to Jana and Harvey Cobb for getting the venue and Leann at the church for getting it ready.
Ken started the meeting about 7:17 pm I was too busy eating those great deserts to take accurate notice of the time.
Motion passed to accept minutes as emailed to members.
John reported that we have $2783.77 in the bank.
Jerry and Sue Cox were visitors last time now new members. Jerry has a hot Chevelle, but the electric fan seems to keep it cooler.
David van Horn has joined and brings his Model T into the Club.
Gary Ivy has been a long time car guy, I believe specializing in early Chargers. Glad he decided to join us.
Katie and Jim Harris have had several health issues including a stroke and knee surgery. Patricia Bohannan had reconstructive jaw surgery. May need one more surgery.
Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
We lost Johnnie Akers last summer. More than once I've headed to his shop before I remembered. We were glad to have Jo Ann, and her great-grand-daughter join us.

Neal Johnson reported that the judging committee recommends that the Car Show awards will consist of the High 5, Top 20 for the rest of the cars and a Preservation or original award. Mel Shoesmith will help define the latter, but it will include original interior, original exterior (minor dent repair only) and original drive train.
Jeanie and Ray Purdum purchased membership pins for everyone who paid their dues and pins for past presidents.
The past presidents were brought up, well mostly, and given their pins. Harvey Cobb, Jim French, Ken Harris, Mike Nodine, Duke Epperson, Neal Johnson and Bernie Baldwin. Then it was noted that Bill Davis and Dick Kroeber had not joined us. With some embarrassment the error was corrected. They will receive their plaques at a later meeting. Ken will mail Steve Houston's to him and will take Linda Rugesegger to her.
Bill Davis stepped down from the board due to health issues at home. Ken has asked for volunteers for this opening. The three current Board Directors are Neal Johnson, Ed Lomax and Ray Purdum.
The Nominating Committee's recommendations for 2017 Club officers are.
